Safety & Compliance

Safety, Training & Delivery Standards

These are the operational standards behind every OTW delivery — driver onboarding, training, screening, chain-of-custody, tracking, and proof of delivery. This page describes what is actually in place, not marketing language.

Driver onboarding standards

OTW drivers complete a structured onboarding process before handling deliveries. Onboarding covers handling procedures, documentation requirements, and the compliance training appropriate to the work they'll perform.

HIPAA training

Drivers handling applicable healthcare deliveries complete required HIPAA training as part of OTW's onboarding and compliance requirements.

Bloodborne Pathogens training

Drivers handling applicable healthcare deliveries complete required Bloodborne Pathogens training as part of OTW's onboarding and compliance requirements.

Background screening

Drivers are background-screened as part of OTW's onboarding standards before being assigned to deliveries.

Insurance requirements

OTW maintains insurance coverage appropriate to its courier operations. Specific coverage details are available to qualified prospects on request.

Chain-of-custody procedures

Sensitive shipments are documented with chain-of-custody procedures so there is a clear record of handling from pickup to delivery.

GPS tracking

Deliveries are tracked with GPS so dispatch and clients have visibility into the status and location of shipments in transit.

Proof of delivery

Every delivery is confirmed with proof of delivery, providing a documented record that the shipment reached its destination.

Secure handling

Sensitive and confidential shipments are handled securely and transported directly, not routed through consumer delivery networks.

Temperature-control procedures

Where applicable, OTW follows appropriate temperature-control procedures for temperature-sensitive medical materials. Contact OTW to discuss specific temperature requirements for your shipments.

Incident procedures

OTW maintains documented incident procedures so that issues in transit are reported, addressed, and communicated rather than left unresolved.

A note on language

OTW uses precise, factual wording for its compliance standards. We don't claim certifications that don't exist. If your organization requires specific compliance documentation, contact OTW to review requirements for your account.

Compliance you can verify.
